In 1994, Malibu licensed the Street Fighter franchise from Capcom and began a comic series. However, their adaptation was not well-received by Capcom and the series was cancelled after just three issues.
The comic plays somewhat fast and loose with the games' continuity, seeming to combine the events of Street Fighter 1 & 2 together, and using EGM's April Fool's hoax character Sheng Long as part of the cast, amongst other things.
Also features a brief guest appearance by Malibu's superhero character the Ferret, connecting this series with the Protectors and the Genesis Universe.
