In a world of wonder and intrigue, Kirk Best uses his pyrokinetic powers to work in a security firm. When the Vice President of the United States is assassinated, Best is the prime suspect. He escapes from police custody and finds himself entangled in a conspiracy and pursued by super powered units of law enforcement agencies and bounty hunters. FBI agent Lauren Sumner is on the case and will stop at nothing to bring Best to justice.
