Of course, it's side-achingly funny. Sure, it's eye-lovingly illustrated. But is it just possibly the best send-up of superheroes yet created? In a word... duh! Adam Warrens Empowered rattles the capes-and-tights cage in a manner well-deserved for said enclosure, but That's Not All, true believer. There is ''genuinely affecting emotion'' (Library Journal).
