Astonishing X-Men Saga is a 48 page volume summarizing the events occurring in the first twelve issues of Whedon and Moreels' Astonishing X-Men. Unlike many other Astonishing X-Men collections (e.g., Astonishing X-Men Omnibus) Astonishing X-Men Saga does not reprint the twelve original issues in which it represents but rather serves as an arcing overview covering the prominent points in the style of an historical narrative.
