"American Parano" is a 2024 comic series set in San Francisco during 1967, blending genres of suspense, thriller, crime, and mystery. The narrative follows Kim, a young detective fresh out of the police academy, who partners with Ulysses Ford, a seasoned cop nearing retirement. Together, they investigate a series of brutal murders linked to satanic rituals, delving into a world of black masses and occult ceremonies. The story is loosely inspired by Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, revealing that the "Summer of Love" was also a "summer of hate."
